About The Venue

The ABBA Arena is a custom-built, temporary venue in East London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, opened in May 2022 exclusively for the ABBA Voyage concert experience. Designed to house the groundbreaking digital 'ABBAtars' show, its unique architecture creates an immersive, high-tech atmosphere, offering a revolutionary blend of live performance and virtual reality. It stands as a testament to innovative theatre design for a specific, long-running production.

Seating

The Auditorium Seating comprises multiple tiered blocks arranged in a horseshoe configuration behind the Dance Floor, providing a comfortable seated experience. The seating is stadium-style with a good rake, ensuring clear sightlines over the rows in front. Seats are individual, padded, and designed for comfort, offering generally good legroom. Views of the central stage, the immersive digital projections, and the surrounding lighting effects are excellent from most seats, as the arena was purpose-built for this specific show. Unlike traditional theatres, there are no pillars or balconies causing restricted views. Seats in the higher and more lateral blocks (e.g., blocks further back or on the extreme sides) may offer a slightly wider or more angled perspective of the overall arena and side screens, but still provide a full view of the main performance. Accessibility seating is integrated into various sections of the auditorium.

Toilets

Standard and accessible toilets (including a Changing Places facility) throughout the venue, all with step-free access.

Bars

Multiple bars throughout the concourse and inside the auditorium, including a Prosecco bar and the Oceanbird Lounge.

Cloakroom

Main foyer; free; limited space; bags max 29.7cm x 42cm.
