Alexandra Palace Theatre
Alexandra Palace Theatre opened in 1875 as part of the Victorian palace on the hill above Wood Green, and once entertained audiences of up to 3,000 with pantomime, opera, drama and ballet. Its stage machinery was built so that performers could appear, fly and vanish through the stage. It later became a cinema, a chapel, a home for music hall stars and a BBC prop store, and was closed to the public for around 80 years before its restoration, which began in 2016. The restored theatre keeps its worn, "frozen in time" Victorian look while being fit for modern productions. It is run by the Alexandra Park and Palace Charitable Trust, a registered charity, and the theatre is entered through the East Court.

Directions
Alexandra Palace has its own railway station, Alexandra Palace, at the Wood Green entrance to the park, with Great Northern trains direct from Moorgate via Highbury & Islington and a direct service to and from King's Cross. Wood Green on the Piccadilly line is the nearest tube station, about 20 minutes from Piccadilly Circus. The W3 bus runs from Finsbury Park and Tottenham to the Alexandra Palace Ice Rink or Palm Court, and the venue notes that planned works and strikes can affect some Piccadilly line and W3 services in September and October 2026, so plan ahead. There is paid car parking on site: the East Court car park is the one for the theatre, and blue badge holders park free. The theatre's entrance is in the East Court, beside the ice rink and the East Court Café.
