Capital Theatre is a brand-new, purpose-built venue inside Westfield London, occupying the site of the former Debenhams. It opened in October 2025 with a flexible, 620-seat auditorium designed by the team behind the Bridge Theatre, @sohoplace, the Young Vic and the Playhouse Theatre's Kit Kat Club conversion — every seat is within nine rows of the stage.

Seating
Main
Features a highly optimized, wide grandstand layout that blends contemporary proscenium and thrust stage design principles. By strictly limiting the depth of the seating bank to just nine rows, the auditorium completely eliminates the distant balcony feel common in larger historic venues, ensuring even the furthest rear seats enjoy the visual clarity of an intimate studio.
The floor is engineered with a steeply pitched rake that guarantees flawless forward sightlines, letting you easily see over the heads of the patrons directly in front of you. However, sitting in the very front rows places you right at the edge of the stage, which provides unmatched proximity for energetic choreography but means that scenic elements extending high above the proscenium will require you to look up at a steep angle, occasionally clipping the top of the stage frame.
VIP Seating
Taking inspiration from immersive cabaret layouts, the theatre breaks traditional seating monotony by using an adaptable floor system. The sweet spot of the Stalls lies in the central mid-row seats, which offer a balanced mix of full-width spatial audio and a comfortable, panoramic view of the entire proscenium. To elevate the experience further, the Premium VIP Package replaces standard seating rows in select sections with custom table setups right on the auditorium floor, cultivating a high-end cabaret atmosphere where guests can enjoy drinks directly inside the theatre during the performance
