The custom-built Big Top venue for Come Alive! The Greatest Showman Circus Spectacular at the Empress Museum features an intimate, 700-seat in-the-round auditorium layout. The stage is centrally located, and the audience is seated in four steeply tiered banks looking down into the ring. Before the show, guests can explore a detailed carnival village set up in the outer pavilion of the Empress Museum. This immersive area features vintage caravans, themed tents, and interactive stages where actors, magicians, and comedians perform close-up shows among the crowd. The pavilion also houses an exhibition gallery displaying historical circus posters, memorabilia, and authentic movie costumes—including the original coat worn in the film adaptation. Main Auditorium
The 708-to-711-seat Big Top auditorium is structured as a raked, in-the-round theatre surrounding a circular central performance floor. Sightlines are clear from all angles due to the steep rake of the seating banks.
However, the physical constraints of a temporary, custom-built structure introduce clear variations in legroom, seat width, and physical accessibility across the different seating blocks: Empress (VIP), Yellow, Purple, and Blue. An essential structural factor for mobility-restricted patrons is that only the front row (Row A, Ringside) across all sections is level and step-free, making it the primary accessible tier.
All subsequent rows (Row B and higher) are accessed via a series of steep steps, rising by 2 steps per row. Crucially, these ascending stairs do not feature supporting handrails, which can represent a physical hazard for elderly or unstable guests.
Standard seats in the Yellow, Blue, and Purple blocks are narrow, lack individual armrests, and have tight legroom. In contrast, the VIP Empress seating is significantly more comfortable, featuring individual armrests and small tables.
Taller guests (5'10" and above) may experience leg crowding in standard seats, so booking an aisle seat is recommended to allow for lateral leg extension. Ultimately, it doesn't really matter where you sit in this theatre; even the back row has a very good view of the show, although seating on the purple side is slightly better.
