Nikos Taverna at The O2

Nikos Taverna is a purpose-built Greek taverna inside The O2 in Greenwich, built as the home of Mamma Mia! The Party. It recreates a town square on the Greek island of Skopelos, where the original film was shot, down to a tourism office and souvenir stands. Guests are shown to a table, served a four-course Greek meal, and watch a story performed all around them by the cast and a live band, before the square turns into an ABBA disco. There is no stage and no fixed auditorium: the action moves around the taverna, so you will sometimes turn in your seat to follow it.

Seating

Tier A

The best-placed tables in Nikos Taverna, on the ground-floor Courtyard, the North and South terraces, the West terrace (upper and lower levels) or high tables in the beach bar area. Most tables take parties of up to 8, 6 or 4.

  • View: the action happens around the whole taverna, with no stage, so you will sometimes turn to follow it. Unlike Tier C, Tier A tables are not described as restricted.
  • Access: there are level-access and wheelchair-accessible tables in every tier, Tier A included.

Tier B

Tables on the upper terraces of the taverna: the North and South upper terraces, the West terrace (upper and mezzanine levels) and high tables on the South and North balconies. Most tables take parties of 6, 5, 4 or 2.

  • View: a raised view over the taverna, though the site notes that some tables on the upper terraces and balconies are obstructed by support pillars or parts of the set.
  • Access: step-free Tier B tickets are on the balcony, reached by lift.

Tier C

A limited number of tables on the South balcony, the South terrace (lower and upper levels) and the beach bar area, taking parties of 6, 5, 4 or 2.

  • View: these tables have the most restrictions, because of large support pillars and elements of the set, and are sold as restricted view. Every table is also subject to temporary obstructions from the set and the performance.
  • Access: step-free Tier C tickets are on the balcony, reached by lift.

Good to know

The taverna is a restaurant layout with no stage: tables on the ground-floor Courtyard, terraces on several levels, balconies and a beach bar area, with the action happening all around the room. Tables are allocated before you arrive and cannot be changed on the night, and small parties may share a table. Tickets are sold in three tiers that describe where your table is (below). Prices are per person, "from" prices as the official site showed them on 4 October 2026, and they change with demand.

Food and drink

Chef Debbie's four-course Greek meal is a set menu served as sharing platters, except dessert, which is plated for each guest. Mezze of breads, dips and olives, then a Greek salad (vegan feta available) with spanakopita (vegans get rolled vine leaves). The main is braised lamb stifado and slow-cooked beef with garlic roast baby potatoes, vegetable briam and red wine jus. Dessert is a selection (poikilia glyko) of orange ravani cake, Greek yoghurt with cherry compote, lemon ouzo curd with cream-filled kokakia, and a nut-free apricot filo baklava, followed by tea or coffee. Vegetarian and vegan guests are served potato and aubergine moussaka as the main, and vegans get an alternative dessert selection of a Greek doughnut with fig jam, coconut yoghurt with cherry compote and berries, and the baklava. The site also publishes gluten-free and lactose-free menus. Tell the team about dietary needs at least 48 hours ahead (food@mammamiatheparty.co.uk): there are allergens in the kitchen, so dishes cannot be guaranteed free of tree nuts and sesame.
