Divided into left, center, and right sections by two vertical aisles, the Stalls consist of a massive, deep block of seating that occupies most of the auditorium's ground floor. While the sheer depth of the hall means that the feeling of intimacy decreases in the rear rows, a reliable and consistent floor slope ensures clear sightlines over the heads of the audience ahead. For dance performances, sitting in the very front rows (Rows A to D) can actually restrict your view of the choreography and the dancers' feet, making Rows G through M in the Centre block the ideal sweet spot for balancing proximity with a complete view of the stage patterns. However, be aware of the Dress Circle overhang, which begins around Row S; from Row U back to ZB, the low ceiling creates a tight, letterbox-like view that dampens the room's acoustics and diminishes the visual scale of large productions.
