About The Venue

Riverside Studios, located on the Thames in Hammersmith, boasts a rich history as a former film and television studio before its transformation into a vibrant multi-arts venue. Reopened in 2019, it offers a dynamic programme encompassing theatre, cinema, TV production, and art exhibitions. Its modern, industrial-chic architecture provides a contemporary and welcoming atmosphere for diverse cultural experiences.

Seating

Studio 1 is the largest and most versatile performance space at Riverside Studios, typically configured for theatre, dance, and live music. Its layout is highly flexible, often featuring raked seating on retractable bleachers or individual chairs on risers, allowing for various stage configurations including end-on, in-the-round, or traverse. Views are generally excellent due to the steep rake, ensuring good sightlines over heads. Legroom varies depending on the specific seating arrangement for a given production, but is generally adequate. There are no fixed architectural obstructions, though temporary set pieces or technical equipment might occasionally impact views from specific seats depending on the production's design. Accessibility seating is integrated into the flexible layout.
