About The Venue

The Trafalgar Theatre, originally the Whitehall Theatre, opened in 1930 with a distinctive Art Deco design. After a period as Trafalgar Studios, housing two smaller auditoriums, it was meticulously restored to a single, grander space and reopened as the Trafalgar Theatre in 2021. It now blends its historic charm with modern theatrical capabilities, offering an intimate yet vibrant atmosphere for a diverse range of productions, from musicals to plays.

Seating

The Stalls level at the Trafalgar Theatre offers a good rake, which generally provides clear sightlines over the heads of those in front. Due to the stage being set relatively high, people in the very front rows (A-C) may need to look up significantly, which could cause neck strain over the duration of a performance, though it offers an immersive, close-up experience. Legroom is standard for a West End theatre, which can be somewhat restrictive for taller individuals, particularly in the central blocks. Views from the central rows (D-M) are typically excellent and unobstructed. Side seats towards the front may experience slight restrictions due to the angle to the stage, but the theatre's 2021 refurbishment aimed to minimise such issues. There are no pillars obstructing views within the Stalls. Step-free access is available to the rear of the Stalls, with steps leading down to the front rows.
