Ilford Boy
A new play by Danny Lee Wynter, receiving its world premiere at the Donmar Warehouse. Ted is a mixed-race teenager growing up in East London in the 1990s. When a newcomer called Patrick arrives, he opens Ted's eyes to art, possibility and a different way of living. The Donmar describes it as a funny, moving drama about the ghosts that follow us and the families we choose.
Tim Sheader directs. The cast includes Leo Whitfield Harris as Ted and Craig Stein as Patrick, with Lindsey Coulson, Cary Crankson, Gershwyn Eustache Jnr, Aaron Gill, Charlotte Jaconelli, Jodie McNee and Ria Zmitrowicz.

How to book
Ilford Boy sells steadily at the Donmar, so you can usually pick a date and a seat without racing. Peak and off-peak prices are close, and preview performances are cheaper, from £15.
Ways to pay less
The best value is a preview performance, from £15, which also has £20 tickets for 35-and-unders and £15 standing places. If you don't mind standing, £15 standing tickets are released online at 10am for performances seven days later. Otherwise, choose the date that suits you rather than the one that saves a few pounds, as peak and off-peak prices are close. Young people pay less: 35-and-unders pay from £20.

Where to sit
Seats run from £15 to £72. The Stalls have excellent views and comfort, but check for any quirks of the production. In the Dress Circle, Row B is the best, while Row C is discounted and involves a climb.
