Showstopper! The Improvised Musical
A fully improvised musical, created live on the spot from audience suggestions. The audience supplies the setting, genre and style, and the cast turns them into an original show with a storyline, characters and songs. No two performances are the same, and the audience also names each night's show.
The company, known as the Showstoppers, began in London in 2008 and built its reputation over many Edinburgh Fringe runs. It was the first improvised show to win an Olivier Award, and is directed by Adam Meggido and Dylan Emery. It plays at the Cambridge Theatre.

Ways to pay less
For Showstopper!, booking ahead through an agency is your best bet for value. You can save up to 22% on tickets from TodayTix, which is the most reliable way to pay less. Since the show sells steadily rather than out, you can usually pick your date and seat without racing. There are no cheaper nights for general booking, so pick the date that suits you. If you can gather a group of ten or more, you will pay the least, from £30 a head, but this is only for Monday performances.

Where to sit
The Dress Circle is the Cambridge's sweet spot, with elevated, panoramic views and comfort. The Stalls are close, but the high stage and overhang mean choosing your row carefully, and the Upper Circle is good value with a full view, if distant and tight on legroom.
