Nine Night
When Gloria dies, her family gathers for the traditional Jamaican Nine Night. As mourners arrive with rum, curry and grievances over the days that follow, tensions build and uncomfortable family truths emerge.
Natasha Gordon's play premiered at the National Theatre in 2018 and transferred to Trafalgar Studios in 2019. It won her the Charles Wintour Award for Most Promising Playwright and was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Comedy. Kiln Theatre artistic director Amit Sharma directs this revival, with Sonya Cassidy, Estella Daniels, Llewella Gideon, Ava Hinds-Jones, Gary McDonald, Dani Moseley and Javone Prince in the cast.
