About The Venue

His Majesty's Theatre, a Grade II* listed building, is the fourth theatre on this historic Haymarket site, opening in 1897 with a grand French Renaissance design by Charles Phipps. Renowned for its opulent Edwardian interiors, it has hosted numerous significant productions, including grand opera, ballet, and most famously, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera since 1986. The theatre offers a truly traditional and majestic West End experience.

Seating

Located on the ground floor, offering direct access to the stage level. The rake (slope) is generally good, ensuring decent sightlines over heads in front. However, the Dress Circle overhang begins to affect views from approximately Row P/Q backwards, potentially cutting off the very top of the proscenium arch or high set elements. Legroom is variable; central seats tend to offer adequate space, while aisle seats might provide more, and inner seats in longer rows can feel more restricted. Front rows (A-C) are very close to the stage, which can necessitate looking up significantly, potentially causing neck strain for longer performances. Sound quality is generally excellent throughout this section.
