Menier Chocolate Factory

The Stalls constitute the entire auditorium of the Menier Chocolate Factory, an exceptionally intimate and highly adaptable performance space. With a capacity of approximately 180 seats, the seating is arranged in a single, well-raked tier. The rake is consistently excellent throughout, ensuring clear and unobstructed sightlines over the heads of people in front, even from the very back rows. Due to the venue's small scale, all seats offer a remarkably close and immersive experience, placing the audience in direct proximity to the performance. Legroom is generally adequate, though it can feel slightly more compact in the central sections of longer rows compared to aisle seats. Views of the stage are typically direct and unobstructed, with the stage configuration (often thrust or proscenium) varying by production. There are no structural pillars or traditional architectural elements that cause restricted views. The front row (Row A) is extremely close to the stage, providing an unparalleled intimate view but may necessitate a slight upward gaze. Extreme side seats in the front rows might offer a slightly angled perspective of the very edges of the stage, but this is rarely a significant impediment given the flexible and often central staging.
