About The Venue

Opened in 1916 and designed by W.G.R. Sprague, St Martin's Theatre is a charming and intimate West End venue known for its traditional Edwardian Baroque architecture. It gained international fame as the long-term home of Agatha Christie's *The Mousetrap* since 1974, making it a significant landmark in theatrical history. The theatre offers a classic and cozy atmosphere, perfect for experiencing a quintessential London play.

Seating

The Stalls are located on the ground floor, offering an intimate proximity to the stage. The stage is set quite high, meaning the first few rows (A-C) may require people to look significantly upwards, potentially causing neck strain. Views from the mid-stalls (rows D-J) are generally excellent, providing an immersive experience. Towards the rear (rows K-M), the Dress Circle overhang begins to cut off the very top of the stage for taller individuals or specific set designs. Legroom is generally considered tight throughout the Stalls, especially for taller individuals, though aisle seats offer marginal improvement. The rake is moderate, which means views can be partially obstructed by the heads of taller people in front, particularly in the middle and rear sections. Step-free access to the Stalls is available via a side entrance for wheelchair users, but specific seats need to be booked in advance.

Toilets

Male and female toilets on every level (Stalls, Dress Circle, Upper Circle); Accessible toilet at Dress Circle level, accessible via an alternative entrance on Tower Court.
