Mojo

Jez Butterworth's landmark debut play, Mojo, is a slick, raw, and provocative black comedy set in 1950s Soho clubland. Directed by Max Harrison, the play plunges into the criminal underworld when the owner of the Atlantic Club is murdered. As rock 'n' roll sensation Silver Johnny rises, rivalries sharpen and loyalties fracture, revealing the brutal fight for control beneath the glamour.

First performed at the Royal Court in 1995, Mojo won the Olivier Award for Best New Comedy and established Butterworth as a distinctive voice in British theatre. The production runs for approximately 2 hours 20 minutes including an interval and is recommended for ages 16+.
