Paddington The Musical
Michael Bond's bear from darkest Peru arrives in London with nothing but a suitcase, a hat and a love of marmalade, and is taken in by the Brown family, while a museum taxidermist has other plans for him. A new musical of the books and the STUDIOCANAL films, with Paddington brought to life on stage by one performer and voiced and puppeteered remotely by another. Recommended for ages 6+.
A new company takes over from 28 October 2026: Abbie Purvis and Hassan Taj alternate Paddington on stage with Sonny Monaghan as his voice, Cassidy Janson plays Millicent Clyde, Marc Pickering Mr Curry and Linzi Hateley Mrs Bird, with Charlotte Wakefield and Haydn Oakley as Mr and Mrs Brown.
Buying advice
How to book
Paddington is the most hyped show in London. It's sold out for months ahead apart from the odd premium ticket at a small fortune, so to get reasonably priced budget seats you need to book at least seven months in advance. It's booking to February 2028. Off-peak dates are a little cheaper, with mid-range seats at £80–£120 against £95–£130 at peak.
Ways to pay less
Book well ahead for any date, as the cheapest seats go first, particularly if you are aiming for the £25–£65 budget tier. Off-peak dates offer an easy saving, with mid-range seats running about 8% less than peak. If you are happy to gamble, the monthly lottery for £35 tickets is another way in, though a seat is not guaranteed. Otherwise, the best value is for groups of 10 or more, who pay from £55 a head.

Where to sit
At the Savoy, mid-Stalls have the prime views, but legroom is tight and the overhang starts at Row P. The Dress Circle is often the best level for a balanced view, again with tight legroom. The Grand Circle is good value for a full view of the stage, if you don't mind the climb. Seats run from £25 to £250.
