Spitfire Girls
On New Year’s Eve, 1959, two women separated by the war meet again as the rain hammers down on the windows of The Spitfire pub. Their story transports us back to a time when female pioneers defied expectations and soared through the skies.
This play, written by Katherine Senior and directed by Seán Aydon, is inspired by the extraordinary true stories of the women who dared to fly during WWII and the incredible bond that tied them together. Katherine Senior also performs as Bett, Hannah Morrison as Dotty, Kirsty Cox as C.O. / Joy, Paul Brown as Tom / Jimmy, and Daniel Copeland as Dad / Frank. Recommended for ages 10+.
