About The Venue

The Lyric Hammersmith, originally established in 1895, is a vibrant and innovative theatre known for its diverse programming, from new writing to classic revivals and family shows. Rebuilt in 1979, it uniquely incorporates the original Victorian proscenium arch within a modern architectural design, blending heritage with contemporary functionality. This Grade II listed building serves as a significant cultural hub for West London, fostering creativity and community engagement.

Seating

Located on the ground floor, the Stalls offer an immersive experience, placing people close to the stage. This section benefits from a good rake, ensuring generally clear sightlines over the heads of those in front, though very front rows (A-C) may require looking slightly upwards to the stage. Legroom is standard for a historic theatre of this design. Views from the extreme side seats in the front rows can be slightly angled, potentially cutting off the very edges of the stage for some productions, but central seats provide an excellent, direct view of the action.

Toilets

All-gender, gender-specific, and private accessible toilets in the café, foyer, Stalls level, balcony level near the creative space, and first floor near the Reuben Foundation Wing. Baby change facility also available on the first floor near the Reuben Foundation Wing.

Bars

Lyric Bar (upstairs with Roof Garden access); Café (ground floor).

Cloakroom

Main Foyer; £1 per item. Large items are discouraged.

Box Office
