About The Venue
The Sam Wanamaker Playhouse is an intimate, candlelit indoor theatre, part of Shakespeare's Globe complex, opened in 2014. Named after the Globe's founder, it meticulously recreates a 17th-century Jacobean playhouse, offering a unique, historically authentic experience. Its design emphasizes natural acoustics and the warm glow of real candles, immersing audiences in early modern drama.
