Billy Elliot - The Musical
Billy Elliot is set in a northern town during the 1984 to 1985 miners' strike, where a young boy swaps the boxing ring for ballet lessons and discovers a transformative passion for dance. The musical is based on the film, with music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, direction by Stephen Daldry and choreography by Peter Darling.
This is a return to the Adelphi Theatre for a limited season. Four young performers share the title role: Spencer Collins, William Gurney, Noah Mannion and Rafferty Smale. Annette McLaughlin plays Mrs Wilkinson, Deka Walmsley is Dad, Lesley Joseph is Grandma and Liam Mower, from the original cast, returns as Older Billy.
Noah Mannion, Rafferty Smale, Spencer Collins, and William Gurney will share the title role. Original Olivier Award winner Liam Mower will return to play Older Billy.
Liam Mower, who originated the role of Billy in 2005, will return as Older Billy. Deka Walmsley will play Dad, Annette McLaughlin will play Mrs Wilkinson, and Lesley Joseph will play Grandma.

Where to sit
The Adelphi's Dress Circle is the level to aim for, with the best elevated views, especially for dance, though its rear rows get warm and the side seats lose depth. The middle of the Stalls is premium, but the stage is high and the overhang cuts the rear. The Upper Circle is clear and cheaper, but a steep climb and a tight fit. Budget seats start at £30.
