The Book of Mormon
A satirical musical comedy about two mismatched Mormon missionaries sent from Salt Lake City to Uganda to spread their faith. They find the reality there is far harsher than they expected, and have to contend with a local warlord.
It was written by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park, with Robert Lopez, and directed by Casey Nicholaw and Trey Parker. Running time is approximately 2 hours 20 minutes including an interval. There is a parental advisory for explicit language, and the production uses strobe lighting, flashing lights and gunshot effects. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

How to book
Booking is open to January 2027, and it sells steadily rather than out, so you can usually pick a date and a seat without racing. Premium seats hold at £166 whether you book months ahead or in the final week, so waiting costs nothing on price at the top of the house; what it costs is choice of seat. Peak performances carry a surcharge: mid-range seats run £55–£135 against £55–£96 off-peak, roughly 41% more, so an off-peak date is the easy saving.
Ways to pay less
You can usually leave booking to the day, as TKTS has it almost every day at around 34% off, so there is little point booking weeks ahead unless you want a particular seat. If you are happy to gamble, rush tickets on the day at £25 are another way in, though a seat is not guaranteed. Pick an off-peak date if you can; mid-range seats top out at £96 against £135 on peak dates, about 41% more. Students pay from £23 and groups of 10 or more get the biggest reduction, from £44 a head.

Where to sit
The Prince of Wales is a fairly modern theatre with good views from most seats. The stage is high, so avoid the very front rows. The Circle is closer to the stage than in most theatres and has excellent views, but it gets stiflingly hot in summer, and the rail and side angles can intrude.
