The Play That Goes Wrong
A farce by Mischief Theatre in which the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society stages a murder mystery, The Murder at Haversham Manor. Everything that can go wrong does: lines are dropped, the set falls apart, the cast squabble and a supposedly dead body returns to life.
It was written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields, with Mark Bell as original director and Matt DiCarlo as the current director. Running time is 2 hours including an interval, and the production is recommended for ages 8+.

How to book
Booking is open to January 2027, and it sells strongly, so the cheapest seats for a date tend to go first. Premium seats hold at £85 whether you book months ahead or in the final week, so waiting costs nothing on price at the top of the house; what it costs is choice of seat. Peak performances carry a surcharge: mid-range seats run £45–£70 against £45 off-peak, roughly 56% more, so an off-peak date is the easy saving.
Ways to pay less
Book ahead for a weekend, as the cheapest seats for Friday and Saturday go first. Midweek, you can chance the day: TKTS has it nearly every day at around 38% off, which is usually the best price going for a Tuesday to Thursday performance, though these tend to get sold quickly. Pick an off-peak date if you can, as mid-range seats top out at £45 against £70 on peak dates, about 56% more. Groups of 10 or more get the biggest reduction, from £35 a head.

Where to sit
Avoid the cheapest seats: they have restricted views, and a lot of the action happens above the stage and to the right. The Dress Circle has superb panoramic views and better legroom than the Stalls; just watch the ends. The Stalls are intimate and close, but mind the legroom and the overhang at the back. Seats run from £31 to £135.
