How to book
Desire Under the Elms is at the Almeida, with seats from £15 to £70; peak dates cost only about 6% more.
Ways to pay less
There's no need to book far ahead as the show sells steadily rather than out, so you won't miss out on seats. Peak performances carry a surcharge, making mid-range seats £50 against £47 off-peak, but the difference is small enough that you should choose the date that suits you. The best value is for those aged 25 and under, who pay from £5 for performances between Tuesday 10 and Monday 16 November. Discounted tickets are also available for ages 30 and under, over 65s, or the unemployed, but these are not valid on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday performances.

Where to sit
The middle of the Stalls is excellent, but pillars and the overhang mean booking carefully. The Circle is panoramic from the middle; avoid the sharp curve at the ends.
