Miss Saigon
Miss Saigon is a musical with music by Claude-Michel Schönberg and lyrics by Alain Boublil and Richard Maltby Jr. It is set during the last days of the Vietnam War. Kim, a 17-year-old bar worker in Saigon, falls in love with an American GI, Chris. After the fall of Saigon, Kim begins a three-year journey to reunite with Chris, who unknowingly fathered her son.
This new production, presented by Cameron Mackintosh in association with Michael Harrison, is directed by Jean-Pierre van der Spuy, with choreography by Chrissie Cartwright and Carrie-Anne Ingrouille. It follows a UK and Ireland tour and comes to the Prince Edward Theatre in May 2027 for a strictly limited season. Casting is yet to be announced.
Buying advice
How to book
Miss Saigon sells steadily and is booking to January 2028, so there's no rush. The best value is the off-peak mid-range band, at £65–£110; at peak the same seats are £70–£135, roughly 23% more. Premium seats start at £135 off-peak and £185 at peak.
Ways to pay less
The best value is the early-bird rate from £67.50 if you book well ahead for a Monday to Thursday evening or Wednesday matinee performance between September and December 2027. Otherwise, pick an off-peak date, as mid-range seats top out at £110 against £135 on peak dates, about 23% more. You can usually pick a date and seat without racing, as booking is open to January 2028 and the show sells steadily. Groups of 10 or more get the biggest reduction, from £75 a head.

Where to sit
The Dress Circle is arguably the best view at the Prince Edward, but avoid the cheap side slips. The Stalls put you close to the action, but the overhang can cut off the top of the stage. The Grand Circle has a great rake, but the performers look small and the height can be daunting. Seats run from £20 to £205.
