Six The Musical
Six is a pop-concert musical in which the six wives of Henry VIII take the stage to retell their stories of love, loss and their shared connection to the king. The queens are Aragon, Boleyn, Seymour, Cleves, Howard and Parr, and an all-female on-stage band called the Ladies in Waiting plays the score.
It was written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss and began as a student show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2017. Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage direct. It runs for 80 minutes with no interval and is recommended for ages 10+. The theatre notes strobe, haze and loud music, and themes including miscarriage and personal trauma.

If you miss out, keep trying for 10 to 15 minutes, as tickets not paid for within 5 minutes are released again.

School groups of 10+ pay £23.50 for Grand Circle seats (normally £34.50 to £44.50), with one free teacher ticket for every 10 students, on Tuesday to Thursday performances, plus an education matinee on Thursday 19 November at 4pm at the same price. Where to sit
The Vaudeville is a tiny theatre. The Dress Circle is its sweet spot for views and comfort, though Row A has a rail. On a budget, aim for the box seats beside the Dress Circle or the front row, but those book up months ahead. The Stalls have a good rake but tight legroom and an overhang, and the Grand Circle is a climb. There are very few toilets, so go well before the show: the queue for the ladies' 15 minutes before curtain up is long.
