Moulin Rouge! The Musical
Set in 1899 Montmartre, Paris, this stage musical follows Christian, a young composer who falls in love with Satine, the star of the Moulin Rouge nightclub. When opposing forces threaten their romance, Christian and his bohemian friends stage a show to save the club and win her heart.
It is adapted from Baz Luhrmann's film, with a book by John Logan, music supervision and orchestrations by Justin Levine, and direction by Alex Timbers. The cast includes Karis Anderson as Satine, Alistair Brammer as Christian, Craig Ryder as Harold Zidler. Running time is approximately 2 hours 45 minutes including one interval, and the age guidance is 12+.

How to book
The peak surcharge here is steep: mid-range seats run £70–£100 off-peak but £100–£175 at peak, about 75% more, and premium seats reach £300. Saturday evenings are the most popular and priced to match, so a midweek date is the single biggest saving. If a Saturday is your only option, book well ahead.
Ways to pay less
The £45 day seats, available every day from 10:30 am at the Piccadilly Theatre box office, are the best value for most people. If you are happy to gamble, the £30 "Bohemian" Rush tickets on the TodayTix app are cheaper still, though a seat is not guaranteed. Book ahead for this show, as the cheapest seats for any date go first. Saturday evenings are very popular and priced accordingly, so an off-peak date is the easy saving. Students pay from £23 and groups of 6 or more get the biggest reduction.

If you miss out, keep trying for 10 to 15 minutes, as tickets not paid for within 5 minutes are released again.

Moulin Rouge! sells £45 day seats for that day's performances from 10:30am at the Piccadilly Theatre box office, first come first served, every day — and hardly anyone knows, because the only mention is buried in the Ticket FAQs on the official site (under "Are rush tickets or day seats available for Moulin Rouge! The Musical?"). For a show where a mid-range seat is often £100 or more, it is the best price in the house: turn up at the box office on the morning you want to go.

Where to sit
The middle of the Stalls is premium, but the overhang cuts the rear and the front row means neck-craning. The Royal Circle has excellent elevated views, especially near the front, but check for side-on angles and tight legroom in Row A. The Grand Circle is good value if you can take the climb, with distance, tight legroom and a safety bar to accept. Whatever you book, be in your seat 15 minutes early: the pre-show is part of the experience.
