Musculus
Musculus is a darkly comic world premiere by playwright Jamie Bogyo, directed by multi-Olivier Award winner Dominic Cooke in his first production as Artistic Director of the Almeida Theatre. The play explores the modern marriage of Charlotte, an investment banker, and Luke, a teacher, who pride themselves on eschewing gender stereotypes.
When disaster strikes their home, their carefully constructed life begins to unravel, forcing them to confront what happens when politics becomes deeply personal. The production delves into themes of marriage, masculinity, and the disparity between beliefs and expectations in relationships.
