dissent
dissent is a new play written and directed by debbie tucker green, whose earlier work includes ear for eye, random and generations. It imagines a society of state-sponsored air conditioning and free cigarettes, where the rule is to work hard, go home and chill out, comply and question nothing.
It is a world premiere, presented in the Young Vic's Main House as a Young Vic production in association with Barbara Broccoli. Ruby Law (RULA) designs the set and costumes, Paule Constable designs the lighting and Christopher Shutt the sound. The running time is about 80 minutes with no interval, and the age guidance is 16+. Casting has not been announced.

Buying advice
How to book
dissent is at the Young Vic, with seats from £12 to £59. Preview performances are cheaper, from £12, and peak and off-peak prices are close.
Ways to pay less
For the best value, book a preview performance from £12, which is the cheapest way in. Otherwise, peak and off-peak prices are close, so choose the date that suits you rather than one that saves a few pounds. If you don't mind a surprise seat, the £12 Lucky Dip tickets are another option, though you might not be seated with your party or have a restricted view. Students and 25-and-unders pay from £15, and groups of ten or more get the biggest reduction.
